Sheriff Zaruba announces arrest of Hanover Park man on child pornography charges
Hanover Park man
charged with four counts of Child Pornography by Sheriff’s Office S.P.E.E.D.
Sheriff John Zaruba announced today the arrest and
charging of a Hanover Park man by members of the Sheriff’s Office Sexual Predator Electronic
Exploitation Detective Unit (S.P.E.E.D).
Sheriff’s detectives executed a search warrant on March 22, 2017, at 6:30 a.m. in
the 1800 block of Lucille Lane in Hanover Park.
The issuance of the search warrant was a result of an undercover
Internet investigation into the possession and distribution of child
pornography files. S.P.E.E.D. Unit detectives removed electronics from the
residence and a forensic examination of those electronics revealed the presence
of child pornography files.
Resident, Richard M.
Chanchico, M/A, DOB: 12/21/1985, of the 1800 block of Lucille Lane in Hanover
Park was taken into custody without incident this morning. Chanchico has been charged with four counts of Child Pornography,
which are class two felonies. Chanchico is currently being held in the
DuPage County Jail and is scheduled to appear in bond court later today.
